Welcome.
I've been a theatre artist for nearly 40 years. Whether as an actor, director, choreographer, or teacher, I have been fortunate to maintain my many passions. Originally from North Carolina, I lived and worked in NYC for 20 years, and then in Northeast Ohio until 2022.
Now, Sarasota, Florida is my artistic home.
For 18 years, I was attached to Porthouse Theatre, Northeast Ohio's premier summer theatre. For Porthouse, I directed many productions, including Sister Act, BKLYN, Fiddler on the Roof, Pump Boys and Dinettes and Dames at Sea and choreographed Once On This Island, Big River, and The Fantasticks. My performance credits at Porthouse include The Music Man (Hill), Damn Yankees (Applegate), The Odd Couple (Felix), The Foreigner
(Charlie), and most recently The Prom.
As an actor, I have worked internationally, in New York and with regional theatres throughout the United States.
From 2002-2022, I taught as a faculty member of the School of Theatre and Dance at Kent State University where I originally served as Performance Area Coordinator, and ultimately the School's Director. While at Kent State, I directed and or choreographed over 20 productions, including Freaky Friday, Into the Woods, She Stoops to Conquer, Ragtime, Oklahoma, Cloud Nine, The Diviners, Working, Lysistrata, A New Brian, The Wild Party, and Honk.
As a director and choreographer, my work has been seen at the regionally at Cain Park and the Halle Theater of Cleveland, St. Louis Repertory, Connecticut Repertory Theatre.
I am a long-standing member of both Actors Equity Association and the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society.
Thank you for wandering through my website. Here's a documentary created for a production of Pippin, which I directed in 2011.
